Year 8 Internet Safety
I have had some reports that there is a lot of cyber-bullying going on through the Bebo site which pupils use at home. The site is not allowed in school. What do you think about this kind of bullying? Have you suffered from it? Are you one of the bullies, or do you know who they are? What do you think school could or schould do about it? What do your parents think?
If you want to give me your comments privately and NOT have them on the blog, make sure you include “private” as part of your user name when you write your comment (eg “CCCW private“). Or you can submit your comments anonymously if you would prefer me not to know who you are. Just put “private” as your name.

I think bebo is well good because it’s really easy 2 contact ya freinds and also 2 meet other people. The bullys that do bully people are usualy bloked form the site enyway so it doesnt really matter if they leave you 1 comment that they will be blocked.

I think that bullying is not much of a problem on bebo because you just block the person that is leaving you nasty comments simple as that i mean yes it may be a problem but you just block the person. Then that means they cant leave comments,comments on your pictures or send you mail or even write on your white board or comment or do your blogs or polls. Its easy to get rid of bullies on bebo especially ones that you dont know, if you know the person and you feel it may start at school you just tell the teacher. !!-x-!!Alybbz!!-x-!!

i use bebo at home, but have never been bullied. 1 of my m8s hav. in my opinion i think it is a gr8 website and that it is really fun!!!! people who bully on it are really stupid because it will gice the website a bad name when i find it one of the best sites out there.

i think it is a silly site and should be disscused with the teachers and the school COUNCIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

On Bebo people can report abuse and block users should something happen

I use bebo and I think its great to talk to friends. I have never been bullied on there but if someone was they could easily block them or you could report them. But I think it is fun and overall a great website.

Keep bebo it rox our sox off, wootwoot. lol. It is a gdgd site nd we shud b able 2 keep in contact with our friends, its bit like myspace and you dont see people going around saying bad stuff about myspace do you. Ha beat dat. Bebo is gr8.

On bebo people can block other users if they fell bullied or unhappy about comments they receive. They can also report abuse and they can choose to review comments before they are saved to the page.

i think that bebo is a reali gd website because you talk to ur friends and meet new friends. but if someone was being bullied then they should block that member and block then that person cant leave you comments on your bebo .
i also think that they shouldnt block it at school beacuase there are a lot of people that dont have the internet in their households so they miss out on the fun of talking to friends and making new friends. ?[{kt}]?
